Kadant Appoints John Allen to Board of Directors
From 1999 to 2001, Dr. Allen was a principal of Allen Associates, a national management consulting practice that he founded in 1985 to assist companies in strategic planning, executive development and selection, and organizational management. He was with WPI Group, Inc., a diversified public company that designs and manufactures power conversion products, handheld terminals and computers, and related software products, from 1994 to 1998. During that time, he held several executive positions, most recently group vice president of power solutions. He served as president of Allen Associates from 1985 to 1994.

Dr. Allen earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1974, and master's and doctorate degrees in counseling and personnel services from the State University of New York at Albany in 1976 and 1979, respectively.
